Sana has always loved sewing and remembers making miniature, hand sewn outfits for her toys and dolls. Whilst studying Fashion, she realised her passion was in heavily embellished, beautifully handcrafted and cleverly constructed garments. Since graduating Sana has honed her skills and knowledge of couture sewing and textile practices by gaining professional experience at prestige companies including the embroidery company Hand & Lock, London, bridal designers Phillipa Lepley Couture, Anita Massarella and now The Bridal Collection Team. “I thoroughly enjoy my hands on role as an in-house Seamstress and Bridal Fitter at The Bridal Collection. My favourite part is meeting the brides, pinning and transforming their wedding gowns so they fit like a glove. I love seeing a bride’s delighted face when they come back to retry their gown once it’s been altered. It’s also magical to see pictures of our brides looking gorgeous in their beautifully fitted wedding dress on their special day. I also adore beading and lacework, so if there’s ever a bespoke jacket, veil or belt that needs creating, I’m the first one to volunteer!”
Interesting Fact – I’m a super recogniser! I have a photographic memory especially for people/faces, so if I see you once, even if it’s for a second or two then I’ll remember your face in a line up and be able to place you where and when I have seen you! Sounds a bit weird and creepy but I promise it isn’t!
